Mission Trip - LASH in Costa Rica

Students from the Latinx Association for Science and Health will be traveling to Costa Rica during August of 2024 to work with BU Missions' partner, One More Child. Team members will have the opportunity to work closely with a variety of people who have encountered difficulties, such as sex-trafficking, fleeing their homes, and living in material poverty. Some of the activities team members might do in the community include serving meals, creating health and hygiene lessons, distributing necessary supplies to local families and participating in a sports camp.

Priority consideration may be given to LASH members, but any pre-health student is welcome to apply.

We hope that students will develop an understanding of the cultural and economic differences present in the communities they'll be working in and gain an appreciation for service and build it into their everyday lives.
