Where Baylor Missions, Service & Public Life is Serving this Spring Break

145 Baylor students, faculty, and staff are serving around the globe this spring break! Eight teams are serving across six countries, combining their education and vocation with faithful worldwide service empowered by the gospel. Keep reading to see where we're serving! 

A team of interior design students is continuing a long-term partnership with Luz de Vida, a church in Guatemala. Students will be helping to renovate the church facility and are painting a mural for the congregation. A second team of students will be joining them on-site to engage in ministry and community check-ins in the surrounding area. 

Students studying to be physician assistants are traveling to Greece to serve local refugees through pop up clinics. The team will serve asylum seekers by engaging in ministry and medical work.

The Honors College is going to Costa Rica engage in a wide variety of ministerial programs including a sports camp and feeding ministry. They will work with single mothers, refugees, and survivors of human trafficking to meet physical and spiritual needs.

A team of graduate accounting students are serving in Amsterdam. They will be utilizing their accounting studies to assist a local nonprofit engaging in urban ministry.

The BearAid Disaster Relief student organization is continuing to aid in rebuilding efforts following the central Texas flooding last summer. Students will work alongside Texans on Mission to help restore community homes damaged by floods in San Angelo, Texas. 

Students from the Hankamer School of Business will be in Guatemala serving with small business owners. The team will work alongside a nonprofit partner to help empower local businesses through training for flourishing. 

Members of the Multicultural Association of Prehealth Students (MAPS) and the Baylor Medical Student Association (BMSA) are serving in the Dominican Republic. They will be working in clinics, shadowing in hospitals, and engaging with the local community through ministry.
